Fall is Upon us

Just looking at the calendar I see that Saturday is the official start of Autumn. We certainly have had a taste of the seasonal switch with some fall-like weather this week. I see the trees are starting get that awesome color across the valley. We are scrambling to tie up some loose ends. Scott and Mike got the new driveway lights installed yesterday. They did a great job and have provided a very nice look as you come in our new entry.
All this reminds me of how much so many contribute to keeping the area driving forward. Scott had a cookout over the weekend and I got to see some of our key people for the first time in a few monthes. Getting to see the people like Ken and John brought me to the realization they will soon be back at the area providing their skills with snowmaking and grooming. I can't wait!
Hope all of you have a great weekend. Get out and enjoy the foliage as Mother Nature is kicking it into high gear. It only lasts a couple weeks but it sure is a sight to behold when the colors hit their peak.

Still Here.........cont.

Well..........not sure how that happened, but while I was creating the last blog, it published while I was right in the middle of writing...........I am sure I must have hit something that sent it.
Anyway, what I was about to say.......the seminars were very educational and one thing you learn is that nothing stays the same!!!!!!!
In regards to our search for water..............2 solutions have surfaced. #1-we spent some bucks and dug in a new expanded upper pond system that should provide all the water our snowmakers could ever wish for. Also note that when you next arrive, there is a new entry as the old road entry is now under water. #2-it has been raining constantly since we last spoke, thus putting an end to the drought we have seen for the past 18 monthes.
I will talk at ya soon.........

Negligent I have been in regards to keeping you posted on what is happening. Last month I spent a week at Crystal Mountain at the MSAA(Midwest Ski Areas Association) summer seminar/conference. Once again learned a few things. Things are alwa
