Fireworks

As we close out 2005, I want to thank all of you for sharing in the winter fun here at Ski Snowstar. The weather has been dreary and the snow is anxious to see some colder weather, but that has not stopped folks from coming out with friends and family to have fun despite the gloomy skies.
An announcement will be coming soon about our new Go With A Pro program.
Wishing all of you a Happy New Year......

Do Not Let the Blahs Get Ya.....

Yes it is a dreary day.........my back yard at home has now given way to the first hint of bare spots......Thanks to temperatures of 50 dgrees yesterday. For those who got motivated today they were blessed with plenty of snow and short lift lines. The snow is alittle wet today with the fog, but it will cool off tonight and grooming will provide some very nice conditions tomorrow. Even though it was warm yesterday, the skiing was excellent last night. Hope to see ya soon......

NY Eve

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Do not let the blah weather fool you...... we have plenty of snow and the skiing was very good today. We will have everything open throughout the Holidays and will be in good shape until snowmaking weather returns. It is not too early to make plans to ski, board, or tube with us on New Year's Eve. We have special family discounts available, prize give-aways, and great fireworks display planned for the evening.

Work Sucks!

At the employee party last year, I gave all my staff a t-shirt at the employee party. It turned out to be hugely popular. It simply says..........."Work Sucks! I'm going skiing!"
How ironic today turned out to be................ over half my staff wanted off early today. Why? Simply put.....work sucked............the snow was awesome and everybody wanted to get out on the slopes. Skiing conditions are incredible and when the snow is that great.....work does suck.

Canine Rescue

What exactly is the job description for a snowgroomer?? Well one more task has just been added. In the process of groominmg this morning, Scott witnessed 2 dogs fall through the ice on the snowmaking pond. One successfully climbed out while the other floundered. With the aid of Chuck, his lift crew and a rope, the rescue was achieved. I guess you can now say ...."Man is a dog's best friend.

Snow Showers

Good Morning All.........Arrived at the area a little before 5am and it was snowing like crazy. What a great way to start the day! In addition to that......it was dry powder........awesome. In a couple hours we picked up a couple inches of fluff!!!!!!!! By the time I got snow reports completed, the sun was rising to a beautiful clear sky! Weather Man says we will see periods of sun and snow showers off and on all day........with highs around 27.........Cannot beat that.
Kids get out of school early so it should be a fun day for all of us.
