So weather talk Is boring, Huh?????
You have heard people comment that life is so boring that they have talk about the weather. Interesting comment in view of the fact that weather has such an impact on all of us. Simply ask 200 of my employees who are out of work, many of which have had to hit the unemployment office to make ends meet.
We are now approaching 30 staright days of weather that resembles anything but winter. In that time frame, the overnight lows and daytime highs have been consistently about 17 degrees above normal........ not sure what normal is anymore! Take that same scenario and apply those conditions to a mid-summer time frame. That would translate into a 30 day period where the overnight lows anveraged 85 degrees and the daytime highs averaged 102 degrees. I am not talking about a couple 100 degree days here.........I am talking about a 30 day period of 100+ degree temps. That would be something to talk about.

I've been checking the weather everyday as well. I'm just as anxious to get out and snowboard. I can't beleive its Jan and I'm not even wearing a coat. A huge group of us from WIU were planning coming up over break but we'll have to plan it when mother nature gets her act together. Keep up high hopes

...A RETURN TO MORE NORMAL WINTER-LIKE CONDITIONS IS ON THE WAY...
THE WEATHER PATTERN OVER THE MIDWEST IS IN THE PROCESS OF CHANGING. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE LOCAL AREA OF EASTERN IOWA...NORTHWEST ILLINOIS... AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI IS THAT THE UNSEASONABLE MILD CONDITIONS WE HAVE SEEN LATELY WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST. EXPECT MORE TYPICAL CONDITIONS OF MID-WINTER TO RETURN TO THE AREA OVER THE NEXT WEEK. NORMALLY AS WE APPROACH THE MIDDLE PART OF JANUARY HIGHS RANGE IN THE MIDDLE 20S TO AROUND 30...AND LOWS ARE IN THE UPPER SINGLE DIGITS TO MIDDLE TEENS.
YAY Cold is on its way back I cant wait I dont see any plans for snow but you guys can take car of that with your millions of gallons of water. Ed once you get things back on track i expect to see that TERRAIN PARK in tip-top shape how about a big money booter, bring the rails out, if you guys can pump enough snow out you could make a sick hip/spine, and get that quaterpipe in hittable shape. With the people i know thats all they care about and you guys gotta catch up to Chestnut in the park. Good luck!! Peace
