Was that a dream?
Went to bed last night with the exciting news that winter weather was on our doorstep. Weather bureau called for 1 to 2 inches overnight with snow continuing today with periods of heavy snow in the afternoon and the possibility of thundersnow which is notorious for dumping huge quantities of snow in a very short period of time. They even mentioned 3 to 5 inches of additional snow in the afternoon.
I tossed and turned throughout the night scheming on what it would take to get one more weekend out of the season. Got up several times to see if the snow had started. Nothing yet by 3am, but there was still time for that wonderful nasty weather to overtake us.
It was nothing more than a dream I guess as we got a sprinkle of rain in the morning and a glimpse of the sun in the late morning as the temp climbed into the upper 40's. Not exactly what I expected based upon the forecast. Should have know better, the forecast predicting the doom of a snowstorm was once again blown out of proportion. Next time it will happen......
right????? I keep believing next time will always be better..........guess I have been a Cub fan far too long!
