What do we do all summer?

I have not blogged for a while, so I just wanted to let ya know I am still here. The famous ski industry question that we always get............."So you have nothing to do, what do you do all summer?"
Believe it or not we keep busy all summer long getting ready for the next ski season. First of all, we have about 4 monthes of routine maintenance on snowguns, pumps, lift and snowcats. Just something that has to be done. In addition to that, we are working to expand the snowmaking system in an effort to win the battle with Mother Nature. We are also looking at re-building one of our operator stations at the top of lift #2. One of the fun projects, will be a remodel of the upper lodge to give it a warmer, cozy feel! We also will spend a couple weeks re-doing our entry road and parking lot to eliminate the mud and pot holes. I will be spending a large amount of time on marketing, upgrading the website, and our e-commerce offering in additon to many simple but expanded season pass offerings.
We have a lot of money and sweat invested in our passion for winter fun and if anyone ever wonders if we will be here next season............ABSOLUTELY!
