Monday Blues

Well, the weekend is over.........and hopefully that awful warm windy weather we saw over the weekend will get out of here....I did not even come over to the area on Sunday because I did not want to see the damage that the 58 degree weather had done. It was actually still very windy and 59 degrees this morning at 6am when I got here today. Temps have started to fall and sounds like a cooling trend will be in place later this week..................So, looks like snowmaking is on hold for a few days. And Yes, we still have a little snow left from our snowmaking efforts on Thanksgiving.......

Well, it wasn't all true

If you saw my last blog a few days ago, we were all excited about the weather service forecasting several cold nights and thus snowmaking nights. It turned out to be one night of snowmaking not several. Anyway, we came in Thusday afternoon after spending enough time with our families to get a gut full of turkey. The rest of Thanksgiving night was spent making snow. It doesn't get any better than that. Hope all of you had a great Turkey Day.

Is it true?

Well we saw our first taste of cold air and short lived snow shower last week. Hopefully that has cooled the ground and water temps so that we can get serious about some snowmaking. The new snowmaking pump was tested last week and we are anxiously waiting to see if that cold air will settle in after Thanksgiving like the weather service is hinting at...........keep your fingers crossed !!!!!!!
